ABOUT TREY

Trey Lindsey launched his digital media career in 1995, with the birth of Jevin Studios—a company he formed in the dining room of his San Francisco apartment. He hired a friend to build a custom animation workstation, then loaded it up with the most advanced creative software on the market. His training comprised of in-person classes, video, and user manuals read cover-to-cover. Within a few months, he was highly proficient in digital paint, vector tools, and 3D animation. All that on top of a foundation in traditional illustration from the Academy of Art University.

His first clients were venture capital start-ups, and expanded outward through referrals and networking. Soon, Trey was working on 3D graphics for the video game industry and some of the industry’s top selling titles. When the dot.com crash wiped out most of the VC-backed start-ups in the San Francisco Bay Area in 2000, Trey and his partner relocated to Santa Fe, New Mexico. There, Jevin Studios premiered two animated short films, and was awarded contracts in 3D animation, design and video from multiple industries, including: aerospace, video games, consulting firms, and the red-hot luxury real estate market. In 2005, Jevin Studios was honored to receive a Silver Telly at the 26th Annual Telly Awards, for a comedic animated television commercial produced by Brown and Brown Advertising.

After nearly a decade in Santa Fe, Trey and his partner made the move to Austin, Texas, where Trey re-launched his business in a much larger and diverse market. This move was a huge success, with Jevin Studios producing an award-winning video series for a local chamber of commerce, as well as landing a three year gig creating 3D animation, video production and graphic design for a major national defense contracting firm. In 2015, Trey spent a month in South Africa at a Big 5 game reserve as a wildlife conservation volunteer, documenting the experience in video and photography to further awareness for the preservation of threatened and endangered species.

Trey now resides in Washington state with his husband and a menagerie of animals in their modest Tacoma home. Trey is a devout Episcopalian, and is very active in the church through volunteering his talents in the areas of web design and video production.
