The Lost

Ghost in the Carport

Shortly after arriving home today from dropping my car off at the shop for necessary repairs, Ian alerted me that there was an intruder in the carport—he could see a man on our security system. I immediately leaped out of my office chair and went outside to confront the individual, only to find that there was no one there. I did a quick perimeter check, but turned up no trespasser. Communicating with Ian through the speaker on our camera, I quickly learned that there was indeed someone there, but not one I could see with my own eyes.

Ian described the individual as being male, with pale skin, long black hair and black eyes. He was holding a blunt object in his hand, which I immediately took as a threat. I knew through discernment that this was not an inhuman entity, but instead a deceased man with malevolent intentions. As is our protocol with the dead, I took action in this case to address the presence on our property. Depending on the dead at hand, I will either help to cross them over, or banish them if they pose a threat. In this case, it was made clear that the latter process needed to be employed, and so I confronted the dead man firmly and aggressively, just as I would a living intruder on our property.

The dead man refused to leave and stood his ground, taunting me with a smile. At this juncture, sage was going to be needed to assist in the banishment, as simple commands with the spirit were being ignored. To be blunt, an ass kicking was in order.

I returned to the carport with white sage and a feather, lit the herb, and rebuked the ghost. I normally reserve a rebuke to the foot of the cross for unclean entities, but sometimes it is necessary for powerful human spirits with malevolent intent. In the video below, you will see the confrontation and my communication with both Ian and the ghost. This is how Ian and I work together as a team in dealing with the paranormal. (There are slight lapses in the recording, as the camera records only clips at a time, so there is a slight pause between footage segments, which I eliminated with a crossfade).

The rebuke was effective, and the dead man left as commanded. It is interesting to note that at the moment the spirit departed, the camera feed froze, dimmed for a moment, and then flashed white for a millisecond before returning to the stream, as you will see at the very end of the movie. Effects on electrical and recording equipment by electromagnetic fields (EMF) generated by the paranormal is quite common in the investigative field, and in this case, was caught on camera.
