One of the most difficult issues to deal with is when evil targets a child, and more so, a child with developmental disabilities. In this instance, there is a dark entity associated with a teenager in our neighborhood. We first learned about this possibility when we were cleansing our home from unclean entities, which were hidden within its walls when we bought it (that is another story to tell…). While I was outside burning sage as part of the spiritual clearing around our property, a teenager approached me and asked what I was doing. Without going into much detail, I just explained that I was burning sage to clear away negative energies from our home. The teen then replied, “I’ve seen a demon in my room. It’s black.” I didn’t quite know how to respond to this at the time, as this was an individual I didn’t know and I hesitate to engage with minors without their parents’ presence and consent. I was also focused on the task at hand of applying concentration and energy to finish the interrupted sage clearing. “Talk to your parents about that,” I advised, before telling the teen I needed to go back in the house.
Since that day, we have seen (and heard) this young man walking around the neighborhood regularly, and sometimes witness him talking and arguing to himself. That in itself does not prove anything paranormal, as we have learned this child has developmental disabilities, and are patient and understanding with his presence along the roadway in front of our property. But early one evening months later, that changed when my husband, Ian, heard the teen screaming at the top of his lungs and rushed to the door to intervene if someone was in danger. He saw the young man on the road near the corner of our property, in a state of hysterics, with a black entity standing in front of him. Ian froze and watched, trying to evaluate how to respond. There was no physical threat to this child from another human, but dark forces were definitely involved. Within a couple of minutes, the teen’s mother drove her truck by and picked up the boy, taking him back home. But the entity remained in that spot for several hours, facing the direction of the boy’s home.
Ian, after noting that the entity was not leaving that spot, carefully went outside to confront it and ask it why it was standing just outside of our property line (which has been sealed and consecrated). The black entity turned to my husband and said in a female voice, “I’m not here for you.” With that, it disappeared shortly after Ian came back into the house. When I arrived home a couple of hours later after completing my delivery shift, Ian told me about the experience.
Just about a week ago, the teen again had a confrontation in front of our property line, but this time, directed his anger at God. He raised his middle fingers to the sky and screamed obscenities at God. I believe this young man has an attachment, which is negatively affecting his mental health and that of his family; Ian has witnessed his parents praying over him and speaking in tongues in their front yard (a marker of Evangelical/Pentecostal belief systems). My hope is that their faith as a family will protect them and keep them together, and prevent an escalation on the paranormal side. The power of faith is definitely something I believe in.
